What is Chatty Canadians?
Chatty Canadians is an online platform based in Toronto, Canada. We created this community to help our students feel more comfortable with learning English; whether they are currently studying or working in Canada, or even before their arrival to the country, we are here to help.
Our mission is to get you speaking! We believe that communication is so important when it comes to everyday life.
Many students come to us with the same problem: “I can understand the grammar, but I can’t speak!”

This is a common problem among students who are struggling to reach more advanced levels of English and find themselves stuck at the higher intermediate level. For example, a student might have advanced levels of grammar but their speaking is much lower. Is this your problem, too? We can help!

Who is teacher Mel?!
Mel is a qualified ESL instructor with a Master’s degree in Applied Linguistics (TESL). She has been teaching English since 2013 to both children and adults (in Toronto and South Korea!). She is passionate about helping students reach their personal goals for learning- especially when it comes to communication and self-expression.
